Warehousing Storage
Shoreham Port provides over 42,000 square metres of very high quality, purpose built warehouse and covered storage space.
Two brand new warehouses, a 4,000 square metre facility on the Outer Layby Terminal and a 2,000 square metre warehouse on the Brighton Terminal, were completed during 2007 and were brought into immediate use.
The Port is especially well equipped with a vast amount of covered storage – perfect for goods such as kiln dried timber. In addition to the excellent covered storage facilities, there is a significant amount of open quay storage space on clean block paving, which enables the perfect presentation of product.
As part of the Port’s business plan to continue providing first class facilities and services to its clients, a £4 million investment programme brought further enhancement to its infrastructural provision. Two new paved terminal areas measuring 4.86 hectares were completed during 2007 and are now in operational use, the first at Fishersgate Terminal and the second on the site of the former LDF Wharf.
